Steve Smith and the Nakeds, a local RI band, donated a tuba and French horn at their annual Rock the Jock benefit concert in memory of Mr. Schwartz. Ms. Denton and Mrs. Curt were honored to attend to accept the instruments.
This coming school year, we will be having band and chorus as part of the school day. In the spring, seventh and eighth grade students were able to choose band or chorus as one of their encore classes. The incoming sixth graders will have that option within the first few weeks of school.
The music department is looking for anyone who has an instrument that they are no longer using and would like to donate to the school. It can be dropped off at either of the buildings. If you do not have one, but would like to give a monetary donation to help us buy more instruments visit:

One of the major hinderances for a student to join band is the cost of renting an instrument. It is through this fundraiser effort that we hope to have an instrument for every student who wishes to learn how to play.
