City Officials are thanking us for becoming the first school in our school district to have the food waste diversion program. The students did an awesome job accepting the new way of disposing of the unwanted food scraps. City Officials estimate that we pulled an additional 200 pounds of food scraps out of the waste stream a day and repurposed it to food.
We are in the home stretch for our Pennies for Patients collection! This is the last week for collecting donations. Which homeroom will donate the most to win a pizza party? Will it be Mrs. Jenness’ and Mrs. McCarthy’s homeroom? Or is another homeroom going to win? How about Mrs. DeSante’s homeroom? We will find out soon!
