In honor of Women's History Month in March, the Governor’s office will be accepting submissions for the 2016 Governor for a Day essay contest. The contest is open to girls in 5th through 8th grade throughout the state. The winning essayist will be named "Governor for a Day", and spend a day during the week of April 18-22 meeting and speaking with other leaders across state government. Interested applicants must apply by 5 p.m. on Monday, March 14th, 2016 with an essay of 400 words or less in response to the question, "What would you do if you were Rhode Island's Governor for a Day?" You can pick up entry information in the main office or ask your English teacher.
INTERACT CLUB IS HOSTING A DODGEBALL TOURNAMENT ON TUESDAY, MARCH 8TH FROM 4:30 PM - 6:00 PM AT THE VILLA NOVA GYM TO BENEFIT THE CCF-21ST CCLC AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAM. SIGN UPS ARE WITH MS. JENNESS IN ROOM 206 AT HAMLET AND PHIM IN THE CAFETERIA AFTER SCHOOL AT VILLA NOVA. ADMISSION IS $2.00 TO PLAY IN THE TOURNAMENT AND $4.00 TO WATCH THE GAME. PIZZA, CHIPS AND WATER WILL BE SOLD DURING THE TOURNAMENT.
